• 1814 Battle of La Colle Mill[?] Mar. 30 - American forces under Wilkinson are again defeated by the British in an attempt to invade Canada via Niagara. Wilkinson is relieved of command and replaced by Jacob Brown, with the assistance of Winfield Scott.
• 1814 Battle of Toulouse Apr. 10 - Wellington defeats Soult, who is forced to abandon the city. Fighting on the southern front comes ot an end shortly thereafter, when news of Napoleon's abdication is learned.
