List of Presidents of France.

France is the classic example of a mixed presidental-parliamentary system. It has both a President and Prime Minister, both of whom share real power, and can come from different parties (see cohabitation).

  • Jacques Chirac (RPR) 82.21%
  • Jean-Marie Le Pen (FN) 17.71%
