Wikipedia:Complete list of language wikis available

The following is a list of the various wikis that we have established for various languages. Perhaps not every one of these language wikis is going to be used in the near future; but they have been created. See ISO 639 Language Codes to see what languages the abbreviations stand for, and where the codes below originated. The address of a given non-English wiki may be found at http://**.wikipedia.com/ , where ** is substituted by one of the following two-letter codes.

Note: just adding a link below does not suddenly spring a wiki into existence. :) Currently Wikipedia's volunteer developers are overworked and understaffed, and there's a shamefully long backlog of upgrades and new installations. Your patience is appreciated, and pitching in with development is even more welcome...

If a wiki becomes active, please do move a link to all the relevant Wikipedia pages, and help promote the effort by announcing the effort on Intlwiki-L and Wikipedia-L--and perhaps also Wikipedia Announcements. Note that the wiki software currently running on these servers uses the ISO 8859-1 character set by default; if your language requires a different character set, please send a message to Intlwiki-L and we'll see about it.

The languages listed in bold have at least some text on the home page, and some are quite active. Their progress is tracked at Wikipedia:Multilingual statistics.
