A tribute album is an LP of cover versions of a specific artist's songs. For example, a group of artists have recorded Sharin' in the Groove[?], which consists entirely of Phish covers. Sharin' in the Groove[?], like many tribute albums, is dedicated to charity, with all profits supporting music education. Other tribute albums are, such as Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye[?], is intended to aid the original artist, in this case Roky Erickson, whose cult fame has not led to financial success.
