William Auld

William Auld (born 1924) is a Scottish author and the deputy director of a grammar school. He began to study Esperanto in 1937, but only became active in 1947. He has been the editor of Esperanto en Skotlando[?] (1949-1955), of "Esperanto" Universal Esperanto Association (1955-1958, 1961-1962), of Monda Kulturo[?] (1962-1963), of Norda Prismo[?] (1968-1972), of La Brita Esperantisto[?] (1973-(1999), of Fonto[?] (1980-1987).

He was the vice-president of the Universal Esperanto Association (1977-1980), president of the Academy of Esperanto[?] (1979-1983), and honorary president of the Esperanta PEN-Centro.

His large personal collection of Esperanto Literature is now housed in the Scottish National Library.
