West Malaysia

West Malaysia is a part of Malaysia, that has Thailand at its northern borders, Singapore to the south, the Indonesian island of Sumatra to the west across the Strait of Malacca and East Malaysia (on the island of Borneo) to the east across the South China Sea. It is also known as Peninsular Malaysia and part of the Malay Peninsula, which should not be confused.

It consists of the following 12 states (starting from the North going to the South):
