Nicolas Cage

Nicholas Kim Coppola (born January 7, 1964), better known as Nicolas Cage, is an American Hollywood actor.

He was born in Long Beach, California and is Francis Ford Coppola's and Talia Shire's nephew.

Cage changed his name early in order to try to make his own way in acting without his uncle's connection. He had a small role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High[?], most of which ended on the cutting room floor. His next major roles were in Rumble Fish[?] and Valley Girl[?], which was his breakout role.

He has a daughter with model Kristina Fulton[?]. In 1995 he married actress Patricia Arquette[?]; they were divorced in 2001, and after that he was briefly married to Lisa Marie Presley.

He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Leaving Las Vegas.
