If you got redirected from Etherialemperor I've changed my name to username to Etherialemperor, but I'm keeping my old user page for info about me and my contributions.

About myself:

My name is Joseph. I live in "Sunny" Southern California. I currently attend Orange Coast College and I'm majoring in Business Administration. Supposedly, I'm a descendant of a cousin of Andrew Jackson, at least that's what my father tells me. Ever since I found this site I've either been working on this page or fiddling with others, especially by adding pictures and contributing to lists and links (see bottom of page). In fact, I've made this page sort of an unofficial homepage that has info about me as well as my Wikipedia contributions. If you want to see my "official" homepage click here (http://www.geocities.com/etherialemperor/).

  • Age: 20
  • Personality Type: ISTJ (http://typelogic.com/istj)
  • IQ: 117
  • This Five Factor Personality Test (http://cac.psu.edu/~j5j/test/ipipneo1.htm) says I'm introverted, highly neurotic, down-to-earth, with average agreeableness and conscientiousness. Personally, I question the neurotic part.

My interests:

"Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the oftener and more steadily we reflect on them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me."

Immanuel Kant, Critique of Practical Reason (http://eserver.org/philosophy/kant/critique-of-practical-reaso.txt)

Friesian Philosophy (http://www.friesian.com) is a continuation of the Kantian/Critical tradition which covers areas such as Epistemology[2] (http://www.friesian.com/epistem.htm), Metaphysics[3] (http://www.friesian.com/metaphys.htm), Ethics[4] (http://www.friesian.com/ethics.htm), Value Theory[5] (http://www.friesian.com/value.htm), and Political Economics[6] (http://www.friesian.com/econ.htm), as well as other areas of philosophy[7] (http://www.friesian.com/#contents). Members of the Kantian/Friesian school include Immanuel Kant[8] (http://www.friesian.com/kant.htm), Arthur Schopenhauer[9] (http://www.friesian.com/arthur.htm), Jakob Fries[10] (http://www.friesian.com/fries.htm), Leonard Nelson[?][11] (http://www.friesian.com/nelson.htm), Karl Popper[12] (http://www.friesian.com/popper.htm), Rudolf Otto[?][13] (http://www.friesian.com/otto.htm), Carl Jung[14] (http://www.friesian.com/jung.htm), F. A. Hayek[15] (http://www.friesian.com/hayek.htm) among others (http://www.friesian.com/school.htm). This philosophy is an excellent alternative to the nihilistic and relativistic aspects of contemporary philosophy, as well as the positivism and naturalism that dominates current academic circles. The Proceedings of the Friesian School-Fourth Series is edited by Kelley L. Ross, Ph.D. (http://www.friesian.com/ross/)

Things to do:

Add a pic of Murray Rothbard and work on the Jakob Fries page. If anyone can help me out with these I'll be indebted to them. Thank you!
