Sense and Sensibility is a 1995 film which tells the story of the romances of three poor sisters. It stars Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, Gemma Jones[?], Tom Wilkinson, Greg Wise[?], Elizabeth Spriggs[?], Robert Hardy and Harriet Walter[?].

The movie was adapted by Emma Thompson from the novel Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. It was directed by Ang Lee.

It won the Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay, and was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Emma Thompson), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Kate Winslet), Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Music, Original Dramatic Score and Best Picture.
