Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is a division of Yum Brands, Inc.[?]. It was founded in 1958 by two college students in Wichita, Kansas. It was accquired by Pepsi Cola in 1997 and became part of Tricon Global Restaurants (later Yum!) when this company was spun off in 1997.

Pizza Hut restaurants specialise in selling cheap pizza and pasta, and the dine-in restaurants generally have an all-you-can-eat salad and dessert bar as well. In Australia, Pizza Hut's main market is the home-delivery of pizzas, and their main competitor is a chain called Pizza Haven. They often letterbox special offers (discount vouchers etc) and offer give-aways to tie in with the latest blockbuster movies[?], such as drink cups with Spiderman or Star Wars characters on them. Some of these giveaways are limited editions and quite rare, and considered collectors items[?], but most are distributed (almost literally) by the billion.
