Nile Rodgers

Nile Rodgers (b. September 19, 1952) is a prolific guitarist and music producer who partnered with Bernard Edwards[?]. In the late 1970s and early 1980s he produced, wrote, and performed for the groups Chic and Sister Sledge. In 1980 he produced for Diana Ross, yielding the smash hits "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out". In 1981, Blondie worked with Rodgers on the unpopular album Koo Koo. In 1983 Rodgers produced David Bowie's hit song "Let's Dance".

Duran Duran worked extensively with Rodgers after he produced the hit single "Wild Boys" for inclusion on their 1984 live album Arena. He worked with members John Taylor (Duran Duran) and Andy Taylor[?] on their side project Power Station[?], which had two hit singles. In 1986, he produced the entirety of Duran's Notorious album, which yielded a #2 title track hit. He contributed to numerous other projects and appearances with members of the band throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and in 2002-2003 helped to produce a new album by the original five members of the band.
