Diana Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American soul and R&B singer, originally a founding member of The Supremes. After a series of hits with the group, including "Stop! In the Name of Love", their best-remembered hit today, Diana Ross announced the beginning of a solo career in 1970. Though she has never achieved the same level of fame as with her group, Ross has sustained a successful career since the 1970s.
