The Line of Succession is the list of members of a royal family who in are eligible to inherit the throne. The list is in theory as long as the list of people in a royal family.

To be in the Line of Succession, a person must

  • be a descendant of Princess Sophie of Hanover
  • not be a Roman Catholic or married to a Roman Catholic
