Leslie Phillips

Leslie Phillips OBE, (born April 20, 1924,[?]) is a British comedic actor, born in Tottenham, London[?], England.

Phillips' career began in the late 1930s, where he became famous for playing amusing English stereotypes. His suave, seductive voice is his trademark.

In later life he returned to acting by playing supporting roles in films like Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun and television programs.

In 2001, Phillips was the voice for "The Sorting Hat" in the popular Harry Potter films.
