Kami

Kami (神) is the Japanese word denoting a god or a spirit.

In the native Japanese Shinto religion, kami are deities and are numerous and ever-increasing. Beings which had incredible ability or virtue were worthy of reverance, no matter whether they were good or evil, are considered to be kami as they form a peaceful and harmonic whole entity.
