World Monuments Fund
The World Monuments Fund is a private, non-profit organisation for the conservation of monuments and sites of historic art or architecture.
Every year, it consults with governments and non-governmental organisations and publishes a list of 100 most endangered sites in the world.
The latest list included sites such as:
- Historic Lower Manhattan, New York
- the Great Wall of China
- the Valley of the Kings, Thebes, Egypt
- St. Pierre de Beauvais Cathedral[?], France
- the Cinque Terre[?], Liguria, Italy
- Selby Abbey and Brading Roman Villa[?], England
- Nineveh Palace[?], Iraq
- Petra, Jordan
