Willa Cather

Willa Cather (Born December 7, 1873 in Virginia; Died April 24, 1947 in New York) was one of the preeminent female American authors. Her works include:

She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1923 for her book One of Ours[?] (1922) and for her 1927 book, Death Comes for the Archbishop[?], in 2001 the book would be named as one of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century by the editorial board of the American Modern Library.
