To permanently eliminate the process, see Wikipedia:Browser page size limits, summary:
- If you control the computer you're working on, upgrade your browser: none of the modern browsers have this problem (so far as is known) and there are many to choose from, most of them offering other benefits as well. See Wikipedia:Browser page size limits for practical advice.

- If you would like to edit immediately, you can use your browser's "View Source" feature to copy the text out, and paste portions into new pages; but please make sure that all characters are encoded correctly: some symbols and accented characters may appear differently in the source view.
