Valeriy Brumel

Valeriy Brumel (April 14, 1942 - January 26, 2003) was a Soviet athlete who broke the world record for high jump 6 times from 1961 to 1963 (from 2.23m to 2.28m). He won a silver medal in the 1960 Olympics and gold in 1964.
