Timocharis

Timocharis (circa 320 B.C. - 260 B.C.) was a Greek philosopher.

Timocharis was probably born in Alexandria and was Euclid's (circa 365-275) contemporary. Practically nothing more is known from his life.

With Aristillus[?] he made the first star catalogue, which later helped Hipparchus to determine the first value of the precession of the equinoxes.
