Tiamat

Tiamat is a primeval goddess in Babylonian and Sumerian mythology. She is a central figure in the Enuma Elish[?] creation epic.

In Sumerian mythology Tiamat was the goddess of salt water. She, together with Abzu filled the cosmic abyss with the primeval waters.
