The Living Desert

The Living Desert is a 1953 Walt Disney documentary film which shows the everyday lives of the animals of the desert of the southwestern United States.

The movie was written by James Algar[?], Winston Hibler[?], Jack Moffitt[?] (uncredited) and Ted Sears[?]. It was directed by Algar. Hibler is the narrator.

It won the first Academy Award for Best Documentary, Features. In 2000 the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.
