The Blue Veil

The Blue Veil is a 1951 film which tells the story of a child torn between the competing claims of her birth mother versus his adoptive mother. It stars Jane Wyman, Charles Laughton, Joan Blondell, Richard Carlson[?], Agnes Moorehead, Audrey Totter[?], Cyril Cusack[?], Natalie Wood, Vivian Vance[?], Dan O'Herlihy and Harry Morgan[?].

The movie was written by François Campaux[?] and Norman Corwin[?]. It was directed by Curtis Bernhardt[?].

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Wyman) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Joan Blondell).

The film is currently in litigation and is not available for television or video.

The Blue Veil is a remake of the French language movie from 1942 Le Voile bleu.
