The Archies
In the fictional Archie universe, The Archies is the name of the garage band[?] featuring Archie Andrews, Reggie Mantle, and Jughead Jones.
In the later era, the Archies also include Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge.
The Archies play a variety of music, usually rock, but also music consistent in the era in which the comic is drawn.
The roles the teens play in the band:
- Archie, Lead Guitarist
- Reggie, Backup Guitarist
- Jughead, Drums
- Betty, Tambourine
- Veronica, Keyboard
In conjunction with the animated series, The Archie Show, a set of studio musicians were assembled to perform various songs. The most famous is Sugar, Sugar which went to #1 on the pop chart[?].
