Betty Cooper

Elizabeth "Betty" Cooper (December, 1941- ) is a character in the Archie Comics book. Daughter of Hal and Alice Cooper. Her older brother Chic Cooper and older sister Polly Cooper have both moved out of Riverdale, their hometown, but occasionaly appear in flash-backs to her child-hood. Betty likes sports, and is also a cheerleader.

Betty is middle class and cannot afford the lifestyle and perks Veronica Lodge can. Despite this, she and Veronica are always in a close battle for Archies heart and they remain best friends.

In the beginning years, Betty has mastery of the traditional feminine domestic skills that Veronica is hopeless at. With the rise of the influence of feminism, Betty is also depicted of a wide variety of skills like auto mechanics[?].

Ms. Cooper and Ms. Lodge are the stars of the Archie Comics spin-off Betty And Veronica Magazine .
