The American President

The American President is a 1995 romantic comedy movie starring Michael Douglas as a widowed Democrat President who woos an attractive lobbyist he meets (played by Annette Benning[?]), and the personal and political difficulties than ensue.

Written by Aaron Sorkin, some ideas developed when writing the screenplay inspired Sorkin's television drama The West Wing.
