Note that these and similar recent articles are taken verbatim from "The Household Cyclopedia of General Information," published 1881. This is kind of a schizophrenic article... A reasonably ok general description of photosynthesis for the layman, followed by an out of the blue description of why the Nile is so fertile... I'd be happy just putting a redirect to photosynthesis on this page. Admittedly, the photosynthesis page itself could do with a bit more work... --Rgamble

  • Maybe redirect to photosynthesis, merge the "layman explanation" with the photosynthesis article, and leave out the bit on the Nile (which is probably outdated since the Aswan Dam anyhow)? -- April

  • Thanks for the redirect.. I'll look at the other material sometime soon to see if any of it can be merged or if a more up to date "layman's description" of photosynthesis is warranted. Rgamble
