Storage

Storage is the at least semi-permanant holding of an amount of something. A storage device is an apparatus for holding things.

There are several different types of storage:

In physics, a capacitor is said to store electric charge.
In computer science, hard drives and RAM are said to store information. (See Computer storage.)
In your kitchen, a Refrigerator is said to store food.
In your library, the books are said to store knowledge, or even wisdom.
Petroleum storage tanks, etc.
