Starpath was founded in
1981 under the name "Arcadia Corporation," but changed its name to
Starpath shortly after, due to copyright reasons.
Starpath is known for creating the
Starpath Supercharger in
1982. This add-on for the
Atari 2600 expanded the machine capabilities adding additional
RAM and allowing for higher resolution graphics and larger games. Games were stored on audiocassettes.
Starpath merged with Epyx[?] in 1983.
