Sloane Ranger

The British author Peter York[?] coined the term "Sloane Ranger". His book the Official Sloane Ranger Handbook (co-authored with Ann Barr) described the lifestyle of upper-middle class young women living in west London.

The archetypal Sloane Ranger (as described by the book) was Princess Diana before her marriage to Prince Charles
