Silkwood

Silkwood is a 1983 film which tells the true story of Karen Silkwood[?], who died under mysterious circumstances while investigating wrongdoings at the nuclear plant where she worked. It stars Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell, Cher, Craig T. Nelson[?], Diana Scarwid[?], Fred Ward[?] and Ron Silver[?].

The movie was written by Alice Arlen[?] and Nora Ephron. It was directed by Mike Nichols.

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Meryl Streep), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Cher), Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
