Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in Tanzania, Africa.

The "big five" animals of the park, so named by hunters on safari decades ago, are lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceroses, and Cape buffalo[?]. The park is also home to hyenas, cheetah, zebras, birds of prey, and many other species.

While it is not part of the park, Olduvai Gorge[?], where many of the oldest hominid fossils and artifacts have been found, is connected to the Serengeti ecosystem.
