Scott Simpson

Scott Simpson, b. 1984, is a talented young poet and comedian residing in Washington, D.C. He is also a heralded gay rights (and gay youth) activist. He is employed with SMYAL, or The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League, with provides services to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or questioning youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Simpson was a founding member of "Far From Kansas," a gay improv comedy group; however, due to a falling out with another cast member in early 2003, he left the group to pursue performing with Washington Improv Theater[?], or W.I.T., a rival group.
