Rosehip

Rosehips, also called rose haws are a part of the rose plant, particularly wild roses, being the pods that form at the base of the flower.

Health benefits

  • Particularly high in Vitamin C (with +- 1700mg per 100g in the dried product.)
  • Contain vitamins A, D and E, and antioxidant flavinoids[?]
  • Purported to prevent bladder infections, and assist in treating dizziness and headaches.

Today, rosehips are commonly used as a herbal tea, often blended with hibiscus and as an oil.
