Riyoko Ikeda

Riyoko Ikeda (born 1947) is a Japanese manga writer. She was born in Osaka.

She has wrote many manga for girls. Many of her manga are based on historical events, such as the French Revolution or the Russian Revolution.

Her most famous manga is Berusaiyu no bara (The Rose of Versailles). This manga, based on the French Revolution, was made into musical animated films.
