Remake

A remake is a film that has the same story, and often the same title, as a film that was made earlier. In the course of film history, remakes have generally been considered inferior to the earlier versions, by film critics and cinema-goers alike, but there have been memorable exceptions to that generalization.

Remakes of major films include:

  • Ben Hur

  • Quo Vadis?
