Quills

Quills is a 2000 film which tells the story of the imprisonment of the Marquis de Sade. It stars Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet, Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Caine and Billie Whitelaw[?].

The movie was adapted by Doug Wright[?] from his play, and was directed by Philip Kaufman[?].

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Geoffrey Rush), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration and Best Costume Design.
