Qian Xuantong

Qian Xuantong (錢玄同 in pinyin: qian2 xuan2 tong1) (1887-1939) was a Chinese phonetician who promoted bai hua (the vernacular style of Chinese).

字: Xia (夏 xia4)

Qian was born in Wuxing[?] (吳興), Zhejiang. He held the position as a professor in numerous universities.
