Proteales
The Proteales are an order of flowering plants, which belong among the basal eudicots. Newer classification schemes include three families:
- Family Proteaceae (protea[?] family)
- Family Platanaceae (sycamore family)
- Family Nelumbonaceae[?] (lotus family)
In the older Cronquist system the Proteales have a different composition, comprising the Proteaceae and Elaeagnaceae.
