Metallics is the shorthand name given to the second incarnation of Pokemon games, which includes Pokemon Gold[?], Silver[?] and Crystal[?].
The metallics games improve upon the chromatics[?] set by adding another land with eight more gym leaders[?], 100 more Pokemon, the new Steel[?] and Dark[?] types, color, and dozens more techniques. The Special[?] statistic from chromatics also becomes Special Attack[?] and Special Defense[?].
Pokemon Stadium 2 is the corresponding Nintendo 64 game, which allows all 251 monsters to battle.
