Redirected from Pia Kaersgaard

Pia Merete Kaersgaard (born 1947) is the leader of the Danish people's party[?]. Her first seat in the Danish parliment was for the progress party[?], beginning in 1984. She formed her own parti in 1995, as things were growing increasingly chaotic in the progress party[?].

Before becoming a politician she worked as a caretaker for elders (78-84) and at an office (63-67).

Her most outspoken political goals are to limit the emigration to Denmark and that sociaty should take better care of the elders. Her view on emigration has often lead to her being compared to politicians such as Jean-Marie Le Pen in France and Pim Fortuyn in The Netherlands.
