Operation Samwest

During World War II, Operation Samwest was a large raid conducted by 116 members of the 4th French Parachute Battalion who jumped in near Le Blond[?], Brittany on the night of 6 June 1944.

The local German defenders attacked the group on 12 June, scattering the team. The survivors linked up with the Dingson team.
