Michael Owen

Owen is noted particularly for his speed and acceleration. He first played for his elementary school team in Wales. Owen broke all the records in his first season. Liverpool signed Owen at the age of 17. He scored against Wimbledon F.C. on his first team debut. During the 1998 World Cup, Owen scored a remarkable goal against Argentina in the second round of the competition, although England ultimately lost to Argentina on penalties.
