Masatoshi Koshiba

Koshiba, Masatoshi (小柴 昌俊, born 26 September 1926) is a Japanese physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2002.

He graduated from University of Tokyo, School of Science. In 2002, he won Nobel Prize in Physics in 2002 "for pioneering contributions to astrophysics, in particular for the detection of cosmic neutrinos[?]".

He is now Senior Counselor of ICEPP[?] and Emeritus Professor of University of Tokyo.
