Maricarmen Regueiro

Maricarmen Regueiro (born 1965) is a famous Venezuelan actress.

Regueiro began acting in Spanish language soap operas in 1986 when she participated in Cristal[?]. But she toiled as a secundary soap actress until 1989, when she starred in Amanda Sabater[?], alongside Flavio Caballero[?] and Gabriel Marquez[?] among others. Amanda Sabater became an instant hit all over Venezuela and some other Latin American countries for producer Venevision, and Regueiro became a super-star inmediately. In Amanda Sabater, she played the title character.

Throught the 1990s, Regueiro participated in some other important soap operas, but none had the magnitude that Amanda Sabater had. In the middle 1990s, she dated a man who was later accused of drug trafficking, and as a consequence, she was also linked by many members of the public to that illicit activity. However, neither her boyfriend or her were ever jailed, and she continued acting in soap operas.

In addition to working in Venezuelan productions she has also worked in Argentina and Peru
