Manchester Metropolitan University

Manchester Metropolitan University is a university in Manchester, England. It was established in 1970 as Manchester Polytechnic, through the merger of three local colleges. It became a University in 1992 when the Polytechnics were abolished. At that time it also merged with Crewe and Alsager College in Cheshire and now maintains campuses in Manchester, Crewe and Alsager, although it is planned to close the Alsager campus and expand the Crewe campus.
