Johnny Lozada

Johnny Lozada (born 1968) is an actor and singer who is a former member of Menudo, during Menudo's golden years.

Lozada became a member of the group in 1980 and was there until 1984. In between, he participated in the album Quiero Ser[?], which became Menudo's top selling album ever, in the record breaking Brazilian[?] concert that drew 250,000 screaming teens to the stadium, in the big Luis Munoz Marin International Airport welcoming of which the group was an object when they arrived back to Puerto Rico after touring Mexico in 1981, and the movie Una Aventura LLamada Menudo, where he played the boy who fell in love with one of Gladys Rodriguez's daughters in the movie.

Lozada was the romantic one of the group, and his hits with the group included the classic Clara and Senora Mia, a song with a 'son talking to his mom' message that he sang to Ms. Rodriguez in one of the movie's scenes.

He also participated in two soap operas with Menudo in Venezuela.

After he retired from Menudo, Johnny adopted a boy, and he became a member of Proyecto M[?] together with Rene Farrait and Xavier Serbia. Once that group dissolved, he went into acting.

Johnny came back into the scene participating in Mexican telenovelas, and in 1998, he and former Menudo's Farrait, Miguel Cancel, Ray Reyes, Charlie Masso and Ricky Melendez got together in Puerto Rico for a concert named El Reencuentro. El Reencuentro was so successful that they neded to add two more concerts that weekend and later, they went on tour all over Latin America and the United States

Johnny has moved to Miami and is married. He has four kids, and he just ended playing boxer Johnny Trinidad in the Amigas Y Rivales[?] Telenovela with Televisa.

Johnny likes to have contact with his public, and is always accesible for autographs.
