Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte II

He studied at West Point and served in Texas with the Mounted Rifles. In 1854 he was made a colonel in his cousin Napoleon III of France's army.

In 1871 he resigned from the French Army and returned home to the United States where he married Caroline Le Roy Appleton Edgar. They would have two children:

1. Louise-Eug�nie Bonaparte[?] (1873-1923), married in 1896 Count Adam Gottlob Carl von Moltke-Huitfeld (1864-1944): they have several descendants.
2. Jerome Napoleon Charles Bonaparte[?] (1878-1945), married in 1914 Blanche Pierce Stnebeigh, daughter of Edward and Emily Pierce of Newtonville, Massachusetts[?] and former wife of Harold Stnebeigh of Hewlitt, New York[?]: no children.
