Hectare

A hectare (symbol ha) is an SI derived unit of surface area, equal to 100 ares (the name is a contraction of the SI prefix hecto + are).

One hectare is equivalent to:

100 ares
10,000 square metres
0.01 square kilometres
2.47105381467165 acres

Conversely:

100 hectares is equal to one square kilometre.
