Grant Green

Grant Green (June 6th[?], 1931, St. Louis, MO - January 31, 1979, New York City, NY) is one of the most overlooked of jazz guitar players. Green almost exclusively record for Blue Note Records, recording some of the best guitar driven Hard bop, Soul-Jazz[?], and Bebop of the 1960s.

Like many African-American jazz musicians at the time, drug use disrupted his career and most likely led to the health problems that killed him in 1979.
